Soul-pop singer Melany Watson
has a sound that her fans have dubbed as "soul-tronica" due to its mix of modern and classic soul with a hint of EDM. Her sound is one-of-a-kind -- and although she proved it when she was one of the top finalists on the hit show The Voice,
her resume doesn't stop there. As of this summer, Melany was awarded the highly coveted Abe Olman Scholarship, joining previous winners like John Legend, Comic Heroes, Bebe Rexha and Lori McKenna. Watson has performed with other powerhouse vocalists like herself, including Birdie and Alessia Cara. Her songwriting got another big boost when her song "Point Blank" (sung by Donna Missal) was featured on the Fox TV comedy-drama fantasy series, Lucifer. And in addition to being a staff vocalist for Vamnation, she is also a professional plus-size model with NYC TRUE Model Management. What DOESN'T
this woman do? Seriously!
Now, we're proud to premiere her debut EP, Lilith In Virgo,
which was produced with Ross Bridgeman and is a defining release for the young artist. The album is one of love and self-empowerment. The flavorful soul-pop sound and emotion of the EP leadoff single, "Illuminate," is a searching song about what it means to be a soulmate. The EP starts and ends with powerful tracks "Lottery" and "Flash," co-written with John Flanagan, Ross Bridgeman and Chase Foster.
We are happy to be the first to bring you Melany Watson's latest EP and share with you the major talent that this powerhouse has!
