Australia may have started out as Great Britain's "out of sight, out of mind" solution for convicts, but today it is a hotbed of musical talent. Maybe it's the weather, maybe it's the the beaches. Or maybe it's the bazillions of snakes/spiders/birds-straight-out-of-nightmares causing people to stay in their homes and ease their fears with music. Whatever it is, it's working.
Full on family affair Tigertown
is a perfect example of the Land Down Under's ability to craft some incredible musicians. The band is fronted by lead guitarist Chris Collins and his synth-playing wife, Charlie, with whom he shares the role of lead vocalist. Chris gets the honor of working with his in-laws everyday, with Charlie's brother and sister, Alexi and Elodie, rounding out the band on keys and bass.
A few weeks ago, Tigertown released an incredible
summer jam, "Warriors." When the band played one of our Bands + Brews concerts last summer, it was one of the songs they performed for us. We have been waiting all year for this song to finally drop, because it's been in our heads ever since. The band also played "Papernote" off their EP of the same name, and it was killer. Prepare to be amazed.
