In the words of Connor O'Malley, "Aw, hell yea pimp, HELL YEA." New Kurt Vile, HELL YEA PIMP. The lead single off Vile's upcoming album, b'lieve I'm going down, is killer, and may just be the best song hes ever written. The lo-fi folk rocker has returned with "Pretty Pimping"; a twanging, reverb coated, heartland rock track containing some of the most self analyzing lyrics since Wakin On A Pretty Daze's "Goldtone". "Who's this stupid clown blocking the bathroom sink?/But he was sporting all my clothes/I gotta say, pretty pimping," Vile choruses on his melancholic ode, complimenting himself in a depersonalized haze.

"Pretty Pimping" has also been released with a music video featuring a band of Kurt clones performing routine household tasks over the course of the day, intermittently seen scouring the city in the streets, convenience stores, and the women's section of a clothing store. b'lieve i'm goin down is due out this September on via Matador. In the meantime, check out "Pretty Pimping" below:
