Brooklyn via Johannesberg St. Lucia makes hooky synth-pop that is reminiscent of the danceable tunes produced by Two Door Cinema Club and Passion Pit. "Elevate", off the upcoming album When The Night (10/8), is an almost RnB track that showcases singer/songwriter Jean-Philip Grobler's enormous voice. While I could see this being played in a club because of its catchy chorus, "Elevate" would be very interesting to see live (Grobler will be backed by a full band at Lollapalooza in a few weeks) due to its huge, Jamie xx-ian percussion that features thunderous, precise backing tom-toms and fun mid-song hand-claps and woodblock.

Watch the group perform live at this year's Hype Hotel in Austin.
