Once again, FKA twigs has proved herself to be some kind of otherworldly, ethereal being at the Lastochka Festival in Moscow, Russia, where she unveiled three brand new tracks. Aptly named Radiant Me, her set included new dancehall-sounding music with no official titles as of yet, although there's speculation that one might be called "Yes Yes Yes".
She had written a short, cryptic Facebook post on July 9 announcing the show: proud and excited to introduce my new show Radiant Me in Moscow tonight, more to come! and she also released a silent video of the dance rehearsals for the set in anticipation for it. This is her first time releasing new music since her song "Good to Love" in February. But the singers always had a flair for surprise--she released her 2015 album M3LL155X as a surprise.
"If youth is wasted on the young, then let me waste yours too", she sings, her voice breezy with an almost magical air to it. The entire set, including the physical set, feels transcendental, with this mystical vibe to it as she and her dancers sway their hips over the feathery music.
You can watch the videos below as FKA twigs performs her new music, with her new brilliant platinum blonde dreads, along with choreography that leaves you wondering what joints she dislocated to execute. She also announced during the show that she would be playing the show for at least seven more dates, including New York, Baltimore, and Toronto shows.
