Why does every artist have to drop their album on the same day? For us listeners, it's a challenge to catch up with every new release, especially when it's several different releases from all really exciting artists. So to cut through the noise and make sure you have all of your ducks in a row, we're briefly rounding up the most important albums to listen to this week.

    1. Japanese Breakfast
    Soft Sounds From Another Planet

Michelle Zauner of Japanese Breakfast is back with Soft Sounds From Another Planet. Songs to listen to are "Boyish" and "Machinist."

    2. WaxahatcheeOut In the Storm

Waxahatchee gives us her next album after 2015's Ivy Tripp, and we're happy to see her lovable indie rock sound is still very much intact. Songs to check out are "Silver" and "Brass Beam."

    3. Coldplay

Coldplay has been doing some...interesting things lately. And now they have dropped a 5 song EP featuring Big Sean? Yup, that's what's been going on. This EP isn't their best work but it's definitely worth a listen. And hey, the song "A L I E N S" was actually really good.

    4. Mura Masa Mura Masa

Mura Masa's self-titled album is out and it includes a ton of groovy dance tracks and plenty of interesting features from very credible artists like, Damon Albarn, A$AP Rocky, and Charlie XCX. Songs to listen to are "Second 2 None" and "1 Night."

    5. Sheer Mag
    Need To Feel Your Love

The song "Need to Feel Your Love" has a feeling of funk along with a tinge of classic rock. Other songs to listen to are "Milk and Honey" and "Just Can't Get Enough."

    6. Oh Wonder Ultralife

Ultralife by Oh Wonder is simply a continuation of the duo's fantastic dreamy pop songwriting. Check out our review of the album.
