Spain won the World Cup, finally allowing us to get back to not caring about international sports. Now we need that psychic octopus to predict when Lil Wayne will be released from prison... a notable rapper is back in the game with a platinum record, Lady Gaga inspired a criminally sexual act, and more!

Noel Gallagher called Spain the best team in the world before they won, like ZOMG!

More importantly, why is this news? [via Spinner]

A Lady Gaga fan was sexually abused at Friday's Today show performance.

We won't go into specifics, but good news: the 19 year old fan responded to the deviant act by turning her video camera on the offender, a (not so bright) man who was subsequently caught and jailed. Five bucks that footage surfaces on Gaga's next video. At least this is slightly more newsworthy than "Noel Gallagher said something". [via Gothamist]

Eminem's new record Recovery went platinum in two weeks.

Lil Wayne has some catching up to do in September! Eminem is probably going to be the best selling hip-hopper of the year, according to projections. [via The Daily Swarm]

MIA suffered the "social injustice" of having her album release party broken up by the cops.

This one is pretty self explanatory. Too bad about the Pitchfork 4.4![via Twitter]
