I want to start singing "It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" but then stop at the part where Andy Williams sings about people kissing under mistletoes and roasting marshmallows because well, it's June and the temperatures are rising. However, it is
the most wonderful time of the year, because our first Bands + Brews of the season is officially a go!
On Thursday, June 22nd, we will be hosting two fantastic bands, Irontom
and The Suffers
, live right here at Industry City in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Irontom is a hard rock band from Los Angeles who just released their new album Partners
last month. They're currently on the road with acts like Arkells, The Revivalists, and Awolnation, so we're pretty stoked to be listed as a stop on their tour map.
The other band of the night, The Suffers, is an award-winning funk act that comes all the way from Houston, TX. Vocalist/keyboardist Pat Kelly's smooth and soulful delivery tied in with bassist Adam Castaneda's dynamic riffs make for one hell of a party; to say the grooves will be tight and the dance moves will be fire would be an understatement. Think Alabama Shakes, but with a little more Motown in their DNA.
So come out to Industry City in Brooklyn on Thursday, June 22nd. It's FREE, doors are at 7:00pm and all you have to do is RSVP above. Then you can sit back, relax, and watch the clock slowly tick down to one of the most fun nights of the summer. See you there!
