Foxygen has shown how fun they can be live, as we saw when they performed at Hype Hotel back in March. Jonathan Rado, one half of our favorite youthfully nostalgic band, has dropped a new track from his upcoming first solo album, Law and Order. Sam France, Rado's Foxygen partner and childhood friend, is known for his intense live performances and is possibly a bit worn out, as seen by his SXSW meltdown and the band's cancellation of their European tour dates to main the "creative health" of the band. In the meantime, the 22-year-old Rado has been content creating and singing his own music, as his voice comes across more Bowie to France's Reed. "Faces" could easily be a more stripped down Foxygen track, using playful, witty lyrics and similar drum tones to those found on We Are The 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace and Magic. Keep an ear out for fellow Californian White Fence on guitar, who helps kick the song into full psyche-groove mode.
