Originally recorded as a demo, Fiona Apple's new song "Werewolf" is a raw, and emotional account of a love lost. The track appears on her upcoming, wordy album The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than The Driver Of The Screw, And Whipping Cords Will Cerve You More Than Ropes Will Every Do. Apple's demo featured some very specific noise via a war movie playing in the background as she made it -- and unable to legally use the movie's audio on an official recording, Apple struggled with recreating that sound before stumbling upon playground in L.A. (somehow finding this set of sounds to be compatible). Around 2:10 on the track, you can hear the clammer of kids running and screaming. It's not exactly the battle scene the song originally intended but it creates a unique and enjoyable contrast. Check it out below!
