Before stopping by Industry City for our first Bands + Brews
event of the summer,
Los Angeles indie rock outfit Irontom
dropped a new video that's sure to give you an adrenaline rush. "Be Bold Like Elijah" appears on the band's debut record Partners,
released earlier this spring. And for those of you who (like me) have been up all night wondering who exactly this Elijah is and why you should be like him, this video has all the answers.
In between cringe-worthy face-plants and scenic L.A. views, the music video showcases the risky talents of Vans spokesman and athlete Elijah Berle
, the inspiration behind this rollicking track. Irontom emphasizes their 90s aesthetic, using a fish-eye lens and grainy filters that look like your neighbor's garage band's DIY video or the opening credits of MTV's Real World.
Most of the video's tricks and stunts are enough to overcome any rational person with extreme anxiety, but it's almost impossible to look away. All I know is if I actually tried to be as bold as this Elijah, it probably wouldn't end well.
