1. Hanson totally just shat all over Justin Bieber's music.
I thought I enjoyed watching fans shit all over the "Baby" singer last week
, but it's a whole new level of satisfaction to watch the boys of Hanson
take a swing at the punching bag that is Bieber. The band recently appeared on the Australian radio show Amos, Cat & Angus
and when the "Despacito" remix was played during a game of Whose Song Is It Anyway,
they had some not-so-nice things to say. Zac Hanson said "I prefer not to get any venereal diseases, so whenever Justin Bieber gets sort of near me or near my ears… it's just ear infections, they're terrible."
Okay… That's not so bad. Well, it's bad. But it could be worse!
Then Isaac said, "Chlamydia of the ear, it sucks." Ouch. Comparing Bieber to Chlamydia is like comparing Nickelback to Syphilis. They're both pretty accurate!
Listen to the segment below:
2. Miley Cyrus and Dolce & Gabbana got beef via Instagram.
Dolce & Gabbana has pissed off a good handful of people. Elton John started the #BoycottDolceGabbana campaign when they said babies born via IVF are "chemical babies." Then Madonna, who repped a fair share of D&G back in the day, got pissed at their comments about IVF babies being "100% synthetic!" and responded to the comment via Instagram, saying "All babies contain a soul however they come to this earth and their families. There is nothing synthetic about a soul!! So how can we dismiss IVF and surrogacy? Every soul comes to us to teach us a lesson. God has his hand in everything even technology! We are arrogant to think Man does anything on his own. As above so below! Think before you speak."
The next celeb to be pissed off by D&G is Miley Cyrus, who is known to love pretty much everything from animals to humans to probably baby unicorns who shit out rainbows. Her brother, Braison Cyrus, recently made his runway debut at D&G's 2018 Spring/Summer show in Milan and to celebrate, Miley posted a photo of him saying how proud she is, and that although she does not agree with D&G's politics, she appreciates the company giving young artists the platform to shine on:
D&G had to slap back with their own Instagram post, basically saying that politics are politics and fashion is fashion -- yadda, yadda, yadda. #ShotsFired.
Italians, man… So sassy! One time I wore this super cute dress, my dad posted photos of it on Facebook, and all of his Italian friends started commenting on it saying how ugly my dress was. I mean, maybe it was ugly, but c'mon, that's his daughter you're making fun of! Wouldn't be surprised if they were actually Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in disguise because they were being straight up bullies.
Also, if you read the comments on the D&G post, there are some pretty messed up ones! Sure, Miley could have jeopardized her brother's modeling career with that snide comment, but there's no reason for all of these D&G lovers to come in and say shit like "No to political correctness and giving in to liberal lunacy!"
Yes. That IS
an actual comment.
3. The internet freaked out when Lorde compared being friends with celebrities to autoimmune diseases.
Lorde has a lot of famous friends, like Taylor Swift (which automatically includes all of her contractually-bound slaves--I mean, voluntary friends), Flume, Florence Welch, Jack Antonoff, and the list goes on. Recently, when she spoke to The Guardian
about her rapid success and life of luxury ("Royals" my ass, I want diamonds, diamonds, diamonds!), she explained that being friends with super rich and famous people is not all as glamorous as it seems. "It's like having a friend with very specific allergies. There are certain places you can't go together. Certain things you can't do. There are these different sets of considerations within the friendship. It's like having a friend with an autoimmune disease."
Fans were outraged after this comment. Particularly Selena Gomez fans, since Gomez was diagnosed with Lupus
Not sure she will be allowed back in Taylor's squad after this. Lorde knows what she'd do without the crew! (See what I did there?)
