Right before Grieves belts out the opening lines to the song "Bloody Poetry" in his recent Baeble live session, he turns to his longtime friend/producer Budo and asks him the simple question "you feelin' sexy?" as if to foreshadow to listeners how the song is about to make them feel. Since 2008 Seattle natives Grieves & Budo have been making beautiful music together, combining a potent concoction of rapping and singing with a soulful take on guitar, horn, and keyboard driven instrumentals. While watching the two preform it's hard not to be completely drawn in, as the vigorous passion that runs in their music noticeably circulates through every limb of their body, making it virtually impossible to not bob your head in satisfaction. Watch as Grieves and Budo run through impressive renditions of tunes off their upcoming full length debut Together/Apart, out June 21st via Rhymesayers Entertainment.
