Selena Gomez gave her fans a gift today in the form of a new video for her song, "Bad Liar." The single, which was released on May 18th, is easily one of the catchiest songs that Gomez has ever put out. If you still haven't listened to it yet, this video would be a great introduction. Gomez's casual-sounding vocal fry and soaring falsetto in the chorus are incredible, and the hook is ridiculously danceable (it also samples the Talking Heads classic "Psycho Killer!"). Even Gomez can't help herself, and begins dancing in front of her mirror towards the end of the video. The video also teases Fetish, which is presumably her next album, but no other details were given.

The music video was filmed by Jesse Peretz of the Lemonheads, also known for his work on Orange is the New Black. In it, Gomez plays several parts (one of them being a mustachioed principle… yes, really) as she makes her way through her high school. Seeing as how the lyrics to the song reference her obsession with another person (I was walking down the street one day/ trying to distract myself/ but then I see your face/ oh wait that's someone else), it makes sense that the video would be centered around a high school crush storyline… especially when that "someone" turns out to be her female gym teacher! This is the second music video for the single, with this one being referred to, by Gomez herself, as a "film."

We've all been listening to "Bad Liar" constantly since its release on May 18th, but this video only reinforces our love for it. Needless to say, whatever Fetish turns out to be, we can't wait for it.

Oh, and one more thing: in case you didn't see this already, even Talking Heads frontman David Byrne is into the single: "I really like the song," he tweeted, "and her performance too."
