Bright Light Bright Light
is here to make you dance with their latest feel-good summer jam, "New York Pretty." The project is spearheaded by multi-talented Welsh artist Rod Thomas, who puts a fresh, modern twist on a nostalgic disco sound. "New York Pretty" is the first single off the forthcoming EP Tales of the City
and is nothing less than pure electro-pop perfection.
Though "New York Pretty" may give the appearance of a generic radio-ready pop song on the first listen, its lyrics are layered with heartfelt meaning. As Thomas explained in a press release, the song was inspired by feeling like "you've been in a place that doesn't feel right to you, and then one day you find yourself in a place that immediately feels like home." No matter if that place is the sun-kissed sands of the coast or the bustling streets of New York City, this song is sure to help you strut through the toughest challenges with a confident smile. "New York Pretty" is a bold, infectious track filled with unbridled optimism and bright light.
Tales of the City is out July 7th. Until then, revisit our session with Bright Light Bright Light here:
