Single Serving: Bronze Radio Return Trade One Earworm For Another

I realize this is a song of the day kind of column, but first, a little catch up. 'Cause if you haven't heard the title track from Bronze Radio Return's 2012 album Shake Shake Shake, it's the obvious place to start with this amicable looking/sounding, Hartford hailing band. Ready? Go!

You're not going to be able to get that chorus out of your head for a little while, are you? You're welcome. But our job is not done here, because the band has a new album titled Up, On, & Over on their hands (set for a June 25th release). That album's first single "Further On" gets our nod for today's Single Serving, mainly cause it's just as contagious as its predecessor. We're sensing a trend here. Mumford and Lumineers fans should delight as there are plenty of touchstones pounding through this song, including that ever present bass drum, a flurry of mandolin/banjo activity, rusty draws of an old harmonica, and lyrics that hit an inspirational note ("Lead your way / Sing your song / Moving everyday / Further on"). "Further On" might definitely succeed in knocking "Shake Shake Shake" from your noggin, but we suspect you'll just have another earworm on your hands.
