Being from New York, and a big fan of sport, particularly the foosball, I wanted Eli Manning's SNL to be at the very least, passable (no pun intended). Unfortunately, as most children learn that Christmas they did not get N64 as they were promised by the "santa" outside The Gap, and/or Mick Jagger taught us, you can't always get what you want. Eli Manning is not an actor, he's a professional athlete, and they are very rarely talented at throwing footballs AND converting cue cards into laff-downs. So it goes. Also, Rihanna!
The Amazon Mother's Day commercial was a touchdown.
I'm ashamed to say I didn't learn about this Fifty Shades of Grey
book until I had dinner with my Grandma this weekend. TRUE STORY.
Herb Welch wasn't a touchdown, he was more like a field goal.
Helga Lately was great because I'm a sucker for fake language parody and could watch an hour of this and still find it funny. I realize I'm probably alone on this. Also we can all agree that fake Japanese is funnier than fake Swedish.
Rihanna did some songs, but they were more like incomplete passes to my ear-receivers.
