It's a happy day for Shins fans around the world, especially those in the UK. The American indie-rock band haven't played live in three years, but frontman James Mercer announced that they will be playing at the End Of The Road festival in Dorset, UK. The festival is in September, and The Shins will be alongside Joanna Newsom, Animal Collective, Cat Power, Bat for Lashes, Thee Oh Sees, Broken Social Scene, and many more. The Shins teased various snippets of a new album back in February (and across the last few months) but have yet to announce more details than that. End Of The Road is all that The Shins have in the books for 2016, but it's extremely doubtful it'll be a one-and-done type of deal.
