To remind the interwebs that there is indeed more to the UK than the monarchy and their weddings (however fairy tale-like they may be), we've got a single for you all from Britain's Jamie Woon, entitled "Blue Truth". The track explores a soulful collection of bass-driven thumps and soft melodic wails, making for a velvety burst of R&B. It centers around coated taps of pulsating beats, accented with interspersed hints of a deep bass that favors a light, funk groove. Woon's scattered vocals croon around a simple melody, and demonstrate a preference for veering into elongated "Oh"s. The track definitely flickers with an added edge, sliding it outside the boundaries of an expected R&B soul track. Woon's album Mirrorwriting is available now, but as "Blue Truth" is not on the full length, you can submit an email here for a download of the MP3, as well as listen to the stream below.

Make sure you keep an eye out for our SXSW concert footage of Woon from this year's festival, coming soon to a Baeble near you.
