Dot to Dot, a three day festival spread across Manchester, Bristol, and Nottingham in the UK, took place over the weekend. With shows staged at various venues across each city, the festival hosted over 400 acts, with many headlining acts performing each day of the festival.
The first city to host Dot to Dot was Manchester on Friday, and we chose a couple of our favorite acts to hang out and grab a few snaps with from the music-filled day around the city.
This duo from LA instantly appears like Matt and Kim - a badass female drummer and male instrumentalist/vocalist - and aren’t any less entertaining. KOLARS brings a brand of pop-rock all their own to a sweaty backroom in a Manchester pub on Friday, absolutely packing the space to capacity. A killer performance is topped off by tap dancing percussion from Lauren. These two are definitely ones to watch, and during our street shoot after the show, we meet some Manchester ladies who are already eager to get in a photo with these rising stars.

Her latest single "Plastic City" showcases her voice, emotive and sweet with a tinge of texture that cuts through layers of electronic arpeggios and acapella-esque backing vocals. Live, she performed solo with just an acoustic guitar, but her voice - the perfect blend of sultry and sophisticated - left her audience impressed, including this guy who crashed our photoshoot (with a burger mural) for a quick photo-op.
