Today we are reminiscing about Local Natives' show at Bowery Ballroom in 2010. Six years later (seriously, how has it been six years?!), we are still completely in love with this band's explosive performance.

The show was in support of their stunning debut Gorilla Manor and was one of their first sold-out affairs in NYC, so there were celebratory vibes all around. Watching this video, we don't just see a typical indie rock band with a strong frontman making all of the creative decisions. Instead, we see a group of people who are well-rehearsed but also having the time of their lives making music together. At one point earlier in the show, every member whips out some form of percussion -- tambourine, shakers, etc -- all doing their part along with the drummer to create the most epic, collaborative experience. That sums up the party that was happening on stage that night. It's a true joy to watch a band with such a pure sound getting excited about what they're doing, and spreading the excitement to their fans.
