Stanley Kubrick's 2001: Space Odyssey and the electro-ambient hermit duo Boards of Canada are a lot alike. Both deal thematically in the unknown and the weirdness it produces: cross-media twins, reaching through time to reunite in this stunning video produced by Faastwalker. The video — a condensed version of the film's astral, conscious-melting final sequence that projects you across the universe — swaps out Gyorgy Ligeti's apocalyptic choirs for "Come to Dust" off Boards' 2013 album Tomorrow's Harvest. The two were meant for each other — the effect is pure, galactic hypnotism. Watch below.
