Why does every artist have to drop their album on the same day? For us listeners, it's a challenge to catch up with every new release, especially when it's several different releases from all really exciting artists. So to cut through the noise and make sure you have all of your ducks in a row, we're briefly rounding up the most important albums to listen to this week.

    1. !!! - Shake The Shudder

!!! (pronounced chk-chk-chk) just released their long-awaited album Shake The Shudder. It features singers Lea Lea, Meah Pace, Nicole Fayu, Cameron Mesirow, and Molly Schnick and is the follow up to their 2015 album As If. If you're into groovy dance music, this new album is for you. After all, "Dancing is the Best Revenge."

    2. Aldous Harding - Party

New Zealand artist Aldous Harding has been around for a little while now, but Party seems to be her rebirth. After signing to 4AD, she's gone from folk singer to something so much more. Listen to the standout tracks "Imagining My Man" or "Horizon." Read our feature, If You Don't Know Who Aldous Harding Is, Now You Do.

    3. Land of Talk - Life After Youth

We've been waiting for this album for a really long time. 7 years to be exact. 2010's Cloak and Cipher proved Land of Talk to be one hell of a power trio, so we're happy they're back.

    4. Wavves - You're Welcome

It seems fitting that Wavves is dropping a new album today, since it's approximately 90 degrees in New York right now. We're boiling over here, but their surf-tinged rock is helping us cool off with dreams of the ocean.

    5. The Mountain Goats - Goths

The Mountain Goats are out with their emotion-heavy, cinematic album, Goths. The opening track "Rain in Soho" is a great standout and features a gospel choir which is hard not to love.

    6. Misterwives - Connect The Dots

Finally, Misterwives is out with the follow up to their 2015 debut album Our Own House. The album has its emotional moments, but it also sounds like one giant party. You can't skip out on "Machine" or "Let The Light In."

    7. A R I Z O N A - GALLERY

NJ-based trio A R I Z O N A have been crawling under our radar for months and now they finally have an official debut to show. If you're into a good mix of pop, rock, and indie - and who isn't - then these guys are for you. Read our feature, A R I Z O N A Is a Band You Need To Know About.

    8. Pumarosa - The Witch

Pumarosa is another band that has been on our radar for quite some time. Their debut LP features our favorite singles "Dragonfly" and "Honey" plus some new ones like "Barefoot." Read our feature, INTERVIEW: Pumarosa on Touring with Glass Animals and Performing in Old Italian Cinemas.
