Rage Against the Machine and Public Enemy have been getting quite a bit of press since launching a countdown website (prophetsofrage.com) along with the hashtag #TakeThePowerBack smattered all over Los Angeles.
Naturally, questions began to swirl about whether fans should be expecting a new album, a live show, or maybe... probably... something even bigger.
A recent report from Billboard
has led us to believe that the monster they've been cooking up in the lab, is actually a hip-hop supergroup so colossally, filthy good, that on June 1st, our cackling heads might spin off our bodies as the earth implodes on itself.
But, until that fateful day when Prophets of Rage rise up from the rubble, we can imagine the union of RATM guitarist, Tom Morello, bassist Time Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk, will join forces with Public Enemy's Chuck D and Cypress HIll's B-Real, and feel like the day is good to awaken to.
