Since 2013's Days Are Gone Haim has mostly remained quiet on the music front. All that changed yesterday when Haim hit the road and fulfilled their long awaited promise to release new music. Yesterday in Santa Ana, California Haim delivered two new songs and we cant wait to hear the official studio versions.
Haim debuted the song "Give Me Just A Little Bit of Your Love". It's every bit as funky as what we remember on Days Are Gone. If you're not already a fan of the trio's 80's inspired vibe, then this one may not be for you. However, for the rest of us who love to have a good time with the Californian sisters, this joint was tailor made for us.
The other song Haim debuted is entitled Nothing's Wrong and it sounds like it has the potential to be a great song for anyone thats going through relationship troubles. Nothings Wrong features a mix of expected upbeat Haim grooves as well as a short ambient breakdown with excellent harmonies from the sisters. Also, the guitar solo on this track sounds awesome.
Besides the gift of two new Haim songs, the group also decided to give their fans a tribute to one of the greatest (if not arguably the greatest) musician of all time, the late Prince. The trio covered "I Would Die 4 U" and while not as impressive as the original, (there will only be one Prince after all), it's still a solid effort.
