Music genres will come and go. Chillwave may be in one day, slickpop the next, and bro-step the day after that (I'm really hoping that last one goes away sooner rather than later). However, I think it's going to be a long time before psychedelic rock goes away. There's always going to be an audience for spacey and far-out rock and roll, and
Brooklyn psych-rockers Yeasayer are here to be your acid-tinged saviors. They've got a new track, "Henrietta," that is a full on psych-prog doozy with a major style-change half-way through the song that really cements Yeasayer's experimental status.

The song was said to be sent to everyone on Yeasayer's snail-mailing list, on a CD-R, but luckily, the Internet had other plans for spreading the good word. The band's been playing this one on tour for a bit-- we're excited to see what other new constructions have crept onto their next LP.

    You just got Yeasayer'd.

Also check out an exclusive session we shot with Yeasayer back in 2010 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg.
