The latest Beach House
, is a darker, more lush sound than we've heard from the duo, and everyone is excited about it. One of the best cuts from the album, in my humble opinion, is this little ditty "Woo" that talks about a woman's process of introspection across a hypnotic melody. It is one of the more Beach House-sounding songs off the album, but also a little softer, more intimate than some of the other music we have heard from them in the past. With radio static, echoing samples of people talking in the background, and sparse keyboard that holds the whole woozy thing together, this synth-drench song feels like falling asleep in a hammock. The floating vocals paint the picture of a hot summer day when you think the heat will keep you from sleep until you're already in their reverb-soaked fever dream.
