Following the announcement of her upcoming album Lust for Life, which as of now includes initial track "Love" as well as title track and collaboration "Lust for Life" with the Weeknd, Lana Del Rey has released a third track, "Coachella - Woodstock In My Mind." Lana has stated in a handwritten note posted to her Twitter that the song was written last month as she left Coachella. It is no secret that she is the staple artist of festival culture, as there isn't anyone who wouldn't want to dance through a desert field in a flowy dress and flower crown while being entranced by the sultry sound of her voice. "Coachella - Woodstock In My Mind" embodies Lana's thoughts about festivals from the perspective of both an attendee and a performer and dives in, by nostalgic mention of Woodstock, the importance of music and how it can serve as a peaceful distraction from all of the wrong in the world. Lust for Life is already appearing to be the most political of Lana's music and, as she travels around Europe in the next few months for her upcoming festival appearances, she will hopefully create more tracks that possess the same in the moment feeling as this one.
