Citadel Warms Hearts with Philly Synthpop

Earlier this month, Philadelphia-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Citadel, a.k.a. Justin Chapman, released a self-titled EP. Chapman sought out to develop a collaborative project with fellow Philly artists, and the final product was a four-song expanse of synth experimentation with a pop sensibility. Today, we've been given the pleasure to introduce Citadel's latest music video for the EP's opening track, "Heartstrings", which features the alluring vocals of Philly native Lucy Stone. The video itself is a quirky stop-motion diorama whose jarring flow perfectly accompanies the song's rolling tribal beats. And when the massive, anthemic chorus hits, you'll feel yourself lifted up into the cotton ball clouds.

Citadel's self-titled EP is out now.
