Why does every artist have to drop their album on the same day? For us listeners, it's a challenge to catch up with every new release, especially when it's several different releases from all really exciting artists. So to cut through the noise and make sure you have all of your ducks in a row, we're briefly rounding up the most important albums to listen to this week.
1. Girlpool - Powerplant
is the follow up to Girlpools 2015 album, Before The World Was Big.
Some highlight tracks include 123 and It Gets More Blue.
2. Harry Styles - Harry Styles
Harry Styles blew us away with "Sign of the Times,"
his first single as a solo artist after leaving One Direction. With hints of David Bowie and Pink Floyd, this album takes an unexpected turn - one that can widen his demographic tremendously.
3. Paramore - After Laughter
is Paramore's follow up to their 2013 self-titled release, and it looks like the 4 year break did them nothing but good. After listening to the singles "Hard Times" and "Told You So," it sounds like the band is taking a fresher direction on this new album.
4. Johnny Jewel - Windswept
Get ready to hear Johnny Jewel's new solo music in the highly-anticipated third season of Twin Peaks!
The album also features a lot of great collaborations with Glass Candy, Heaven, and Symmetry as well as a song by Chromatics.
