Meet Mac DeMarco's Enigmatic Mind In 'Pepperoni Playboy'

In addition to having the knack for writing his own brand of relaxed guitar pop, Mac DeMarco packs one of the most eccentric personalities in the biz. Mac long upheld this enigmatic character until he released his latest record Salad Days earlier this year, which showed a softer, more genuine representation of himself through its lyrics; or as he explains in his new documentary Pepperoni Playboy, this was just a pop music ploy to make his songs more identifiable to the listener.

Although lyrically both of his feet appear to have grounded, the new, 34-minute 'Macumentary' shows us that the playful personas of the Canadian artist are still alive and exploring the world — like the scene pictured above where Mac learns about the multitasking lifestyle of Singapore.
