Death Cab For Cutie stamped their insignia on the music video world when they shot "You Are A Tourist in a single take, broadcasting it live, to the world. For Codes and Keys' second vid, they've left their mark with a more lasting impression. Directed by Death Cab bassist, Nick Harmer, and legendary graffiti artist, Shepard Fairey, "Home Is A Fire" takes the viewer on an atypical, sightseeing tour of L.A. masonry.
Though Fairey is known for his "Andre the Giant Has a Posse" (Obey) wall and t-shirt stencils, in the video, he tags with "Home Is A Fire" lyrics. Like a grown-up Sesame Street lesson, the song's phrases are pasted to their concrete definitions, giving its already multi-layered themes heightened explicitness.
