After some the death of bassist Gerard Smith, the great TV on the Radio returned last November with an excellent LPSeeds. Showcasing their varied sounds, the LP was fully loaded front to back with topnotch intricate songs. One of the standout tracks was the acoustic heavy "Trouble". Today we have the visuals for that song.
"Trouble" is a dynamic song. With an acoustic guitar acting as the backbone of the song, the bass line, live drums, electronic drums, and background vocals continue to build in the song making for an epic listening journey. With lines like, "I keep telling myself/'Don't worry, be happy'/Oh, you keep telling yourself/'Everything's gonna be okay'" you can hear the pangs of doubt in lead singer Tunde Adebimpe's voice. The video is just as interesting and filled with pangs of uncertainty. Featuring a host of facial close ups of different people who appear to be in bad shape, their mood reflects the music perfectly. It's simple but emotional. Whether you just lost a friend, got dumped, or are simply feeling lost in the world, this song is for you. Turn it up loud. This is therapy.
