SPEED ROUND: 9 Albums Out Now That You Should Spin

    Why does every artist have to drop their album on the same day? For us listeners, it's a challenge to catch up with every new release, especially when it's several different releases from all really exciting artists. So to cut through the noise and make sure you have all of your ducks in a row, we're briefly rounding up the most important albums to listen to this week.

    1. Kali Uchis - Isolation



    Recently off tour supporting Lana Del Rey and now getting ready to play Coachella, soul pop singer Kali Uchis is now out with the follow up to 2015's critically-acclaimed Por Vida. The album features longtime friend/collaborator Tyler, The Creator, Reykon, Jorja Smith, and others.

    2. Cardi B - Invasion Of Privacy



    After the monumental success of "Bodak Yellow," Cardi B is finally out with her highly, highly-anticipated debut LP, Invasion Of Privacy. The latest single "Be Careful" was rumored to be about Offset, but according to Cardi, it is not. "No, I wasn't talkin' about Offset," she told Beats 1. "I was just talkin' about things I relate to and that have happened to me."

    3. EELS - The Deconstruction



    The rockers fronted by Mark Oliver Everett are back with their first album in four years. We threw back to the exclusive full length concert we posted with them a while back to celebrate the new album.

    4. Unknown Mortal Orchestra - Sex & Food



    Their fourth album Sex & Food is the follow up to 2015's Multi-Love.




    5. Hinds - I Don't Run


    Madrid, Spain-based indie rock act Hinds are out with the follow up to their 2016 album Leave Me Alone. It's an excellent demonstration of their musical growth over the years.

    6. Wye Oak - The Louder I Call, The Faster It Runs


    Baltimore indie rock duo Wye Oak are out today with their excellent new album, which is the follow up to 2016's Tween. Singer Jenn Wasner has stayed busy before this release though, with her solo project under the name of Flock Of Dimes and her 2016 debut solo album If You See Me, Say Yes.

    7. Gum - The Underdog


    Gum is the side project of Tame Impala's Jay Watson, and today they are out with their fourth album, after 2016's Flash In The Pan.

    8. Hop Along - Bark Your Head Off, Dog


    The new album from these indie rockers is the first since 2015's Painted Shut. They have released several singles in advance earlier this year, such as "Prior Things," "Not Abel," and "How Simple."

    9. Flatbush Zombies - Vacation In Hell



    Brooklyn-based trio are out with the follow up to 3001: A Laced Odyssey, and it is a whopping 19 tracks-long.
