Corinne Bailey Rae's third studio album, The Heart Speaks in Whispers, is out next month and to hold us over till the release, the British singer-songwriter has released a couple singles with accompanying videos off the upcoming album to remind us that, after 6 years, she's back and in full-swing. In February, she released an out-of-this-world music video for "Been to the Moon" and it was full of 80s-style costumes and funky, smooth vocals. Bailey Rae switched gears in her new music video for "Stop Where You Are" by communicating the powerful message behind the track.

The video opens with a hazy shot of Bailey Rae back-lit by the sun as she opens up with her sweet, angelic voice. The song builds up as she wanders around some sort of outdoor, cement building structure wearing a flowy, red dress and she passes a few down and troubled people. The song is all about getting out of a rough place and appreciating every detail around you and the music video does an excellent job at communicating the lyrics. "Life's shining around you / Don't miss a day / If you're caught up in the chase / You hold your happiness away from you." Throughout the video, every person that Bailey Rae graces with her presence and smooth vocals gets visibly happier. A man wearing a suit even blows-off someone seeking help only to return and give (what I assume is) his coffee. It's a very simple video but it perfectly complements such a powerful song.
