You know what I've been really into lately? Bread. Despite the newfound mice in my kitchen, I've been trying to get more creative with my food, and in a world where people are going gluten-free, I'm embracing the fear and becoming friends with the enemy: bread. I got the most amazing Ciabatta bread the other day and slapped some grilled veggies and chipotle mayo on it. I also love me a good piece of multi-grain toast with avocado on it. How about some sour dough dipped in tomato soup or a flatbread to accompany your charcuterie?
I'm sorry for turning Baeble into a food blog, but let's be real, bread is great, and that's why I got so
excited when Chairlift
released their video for "Polymorphing" (oh yeah, there's a point to all of this), because it features Caroline Polachek getting cozy with what is possibly the greatest bread of them all: the baguette. Not just one baguette, but several
baguettes. In between black and white shots of her sitting in a bed with men, singing in bedazzled sunnies, and ironing frozen waffles with lyrics displayed on the bottom of the screen, Polachek is seen laying on a couch, bathing in a pool of baguettes. The song is off of the band's latest album Moth
and although they announced that they're splitting up a few months ago
, at least they're going out with a bang - and with bread. Lots of bread.
We bet Oprah would love this video too!
