Every generation has a voice. Leonard Cohen was a poet who shaped lives with his words. It has been five long months without his creativity and insights and his ballads hit home even harder without him around, but how unfortunate would a wave of music be without his inspiration and passion for words? His songs have generated a plethora of striking covers, and now Feist has joined the list of tributes with a cover of "Hey, That's No Way to Say Goodbye," at this year's JUNO Awards and it makes us want to cry.

I have listened to all of the Cohen covers in the book. Most are charming and sweet, but could never be compared to the original. However, Feist has a strong quality that commands the song as her own. Haunting and alluring are the first things that come to mind when listening to her cover and she makes the song her own with her folk style.

Pleasure, her upcoming album, is set to release on April 28th, 2017; it's her first new full-length album in almost six years. Feist shared her thoughts on the album making process on Twitter.
