We have a lot of hyperbolic emotions about relationships. If there's one universal axiom of life, it's that love is rarely logical. We expect partners to complete us. We expect to be one with someone even if that isn't a thing that's actually possible. And we feel like our entire world comes unhinged around us when a major romance comes to an end. And in the video for "I'd Be Dead," alt-folk pop project Photo Ops deal gorgeously in those larger than life emotions.

We've got the exclusive premiere of the video (directed by Jordan Noel) for Photo Ops' "I'd Be Dead," and it focuses in on a romance with the aesthetic clarity of David Gordon Green's All the Real Girls. It contrasts fall and the intense embers of a blooming romance with a subversive darkness that waits at the end of the video. And the song's lush alt-folk recalls the best of Fleet Foxes and Ben Howard.

Photo Ops' new album, Vacation, is due out 4/29 on Bad Friend Records, and he's playing a release show for the record tonight in LA at Hotel Cafe at 10:00 PM
