Gem and Eye have a ton of chemistry. It shouldn't be surprising since the duo is made up of a brother and sister. With an eclectic field of influences, it is obvious the band has roots in NYC. With spaced out synthesizers, reverb packed vocals, and distant drums creating a trippy environment, the band is coming with a fresh sound in an already crowded industry. The Bowie influence is evident and with a sultry, inviting voice, Harley Pace easily captures an audience's attention.

"Roaring Twenties" is a powerful statement from the young band. The song starts slowly. With relaxed instrumentals, Harley waxes poetic with her hypnotizing vocals before powerful drums kick in. Letting the music speak as well, her vocals are mixed evenly with the instruments showing the importance of the mood setting music. The song builds and builds, before forming into a brilliant musical masterpiece. The melodies are gorgeous and will make you feel as content as sitting in a park on a sunny day. Even with existential questions like, "if these are my roaring twenties/why do I feel so alone?" the music will still inspire you to smile a little bit. With more music from the band coming, expect big things soon.

Stream "Roaring Twenties" below and get ready to get lost in a swirl of harmonies. The band is playing May 1st at the Rock Shop in Brooklyn, and you can find their Facebook page here.
