Why does every artist have to drop their album on the same day? For us listeners, it's a challenge to catch up with every new release, especially when it's several different releases from all really exciting artists. So to cut through the noise and make sure you have all of your ducks in a row, we're briefly rounding up the most important albums to listen to this week.
1. Janelle Monáe - Dirty Computer
Janelle Monáe is finally out with her first album since 2013's The Electric Lady.
The album also comes with a new, nearly hour-long film, or "emotion picture," Dirty Computer.

2. Okkervil River - In The Rainbow Rain
Okkervil River's latest album is now out via ATO Records, and they are currently celebrating the release with a couple of NYC-based performances. Today, Will Sheff and AC Newman of The New Pornographers discussed the making of the record at the Strand Rare Book Room and later tonight the band will play a show at Rough Trade in Brooklyn.

3. Post Malone - beerbongs & bentleys
Post Malone's out with a whopping new 18 tracks. The album features Nicki Minaj, Ty Dolla $ign, G-Eazy, YG, Swae Lee.

4. Anne-Marie - Speak Your Mind
Anne-Marie is here with her highly anticipated debut LP after major success with her singles like "Alarm" and "Ciao Adios." The album also features Clean Bandit and MARSHMELLO.

5. Speedy Ortiz - Twerp Verse
Speedy Ortiz are out with the follow up to their 2015 album Foil Deer. Both sonically and lyrically, it's their best yet.

Elohim is an exciting Los Angeles-based singer/producer and today she is out with her debut record via BMG. She will be playing several festivals like Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, Life Is Beautiful, and more.
