Haim's core fan base might be some of the most patient and loyal people on the planet. It's been a long four years since the band of sisters released their stellar debut Days Are Gone, and since then fans have been waiting anxiously to hear what they have in store for the next record. Last summer, the band went on tour even without a new album to support, only to cancel a good portion of said tour to focus on finishing the new album. Fast-forward to almost a year later, and fans have been mercilessly teased this past month with not one, but two trailers for new music. We ALL know your game, Haim. It's like waiting to open a gift until Christmas when you know exactly what it is. You can literally SEE the shape of the gift under the wrapping paper, but you can't do a damn thing about it until it's time.

Well don't fret, tenacious fans, we can now finally open the gift: Along with announcing their new album Something to Tell You, out July 7, the Haim sisters have dropped a live music video for a brand new song, "Right Now." This one-take video is directed by none other than Paul Thomas Anderson, who actually has an unexpected connection to the band: The sisters' mom was Anderson's art teacher back in his school days. While the visuals are the cinematic quality you can expect from P.T. Anderson, it doesn't take any attention away from the song, which is a subdued slow-burn that builds to an epic percussion-driven climax. With their usual blend of 70s classic rock with hints of modern pop and indie well on display, fans will likely be very happy to hear Haim back in action. You might even forget they even left in the first place.
