If you've ever watched a Father John Misty
interview, you know he has a very particular sense of humor. And Josh Tillman, aka Father John Misty, really lets it shine in his new video for "Total Entertainment Forever", which you might have to watch a few times to really wrap your head around. As you would expect, it's pretty ludicrous and that's why we love FJM.
It stars Macaulay Culkin as Kurt Cobain - which is already enough to convince you to watch it - and FJM plays some sort of Captain Hook character. George Washington with a virtual reality helmet makes an appearance in the first half of the video. Macaulay Culkin gets whipped and crucified by some "corporate fascists" who are also Ronald McDonald look-alikes. There's a Bill Clinton-masked character playing a paper mache saxophone and Father John Misty, who has hooks as hands, crucifies himself at the end. It's weird as hell and couldn't be more Father John Misty.
