If I could be any current musician, I'd immediately swap name tags with The National's frontman Matt Berninger. The guy looks like a handsome humanities professor and he's a badass rock star - that's an all-access pass to every brand of ass. All personal delusions aside, Berninger's band seems to be living their own superstar fantasies. In addition to the impending release of their fifth studio album, Trouble Will Find Me, The National released a highly-acclaimed documentary, and will be presented as a living work of art at MoMA.

Last night, The National visited Fallon, and they unleashed two new songs off Trouble Will Find Me. I don't always post about late night performances, but when I do, it's for The National.

Watch Matt and company perform the up-tempo jolt of "Sea of Love" and the slow-building, bonus song "I Need My Girl".
