On their sophomore album Billy Jack, Los Angeles duo Honeyhoney spin out kitschy country folk that's as sweet and supple as their namesake suggests, yet takes on subjects of a dark and stormy nature. Look no further than the album opener "Angel of Death". Its sun-kissed twang and dewy harmonies are as easy going as they come, yet also ominous, obviously. If you don't catch it in the lyrics have a look at the band's campy new video for the song. Here Suzanne Santo (vocals/banjo/violin) and Ben Jaffe (vocals/guitar) play cold hearted assassins, embarking on a video long killing spree. It's light hearted, yet insanely violent. Oh, and there's a surprise twist at the ending. Neat! A word of warning though: Many, many people were harmed in the making of this video. Enjoy, you sick bastards...
