My Morning Jacket extends their
Circuital campaign by providing yet another sampling of the May 31 release. Less than two weeks following their offering of the album's freebie title-track, they are allowing a preview of the newest single, "Holdin On To Black Metal".
Jim James must have hired Don Draper to promote
Circuital. Similar to investigating the free sample trays at a supermarket, every fresh taste of My Morning Jacket boosts the insatiable yearning for the album's impending release. Listening to its first two singles, however, prove that, unlike hors d'oeuvres,
Circuital will only improve once finally home. "Holdin On To Black Metal" parallels the title track in delight, but it possesses an entirely alternative musical dynamic. Its searing horns and a chorus of a James-led choir are distances away from their folk norm, but its edge and power are unquestionably pleasing.
You can listen to "Holdin On To Black Metal" once you "Like"
