Toronto-based indie rockers Fast Romantics have a knack for evoking emotions. Between frontman Matthew Angus' frenzied vocals and their Straylight Run-esque harmonies, songs like "Everybody's Trying To Steal Your Heart" and "Why We Fight" will bring every feeling - nostalgia, sadness, and happiness. The songs are off of their new album, American Love, the follow up to their 2013 release Afterlife Blues. It's set to come out on April 28th via Light Organ/Postwar Records, but you can listen to it ahead of its release right here.

The band told us a little bit about the album, "We've had these songs in the works for over two years, but they really came into their own while we were touring in the states. As neighbours and outsiders, we were six Canadians drinking and talking with Americans of all stripes who were feeling the tension and insanity of the election. It was confusing and powerful and had a huge impact on us, and we couldn't help but let the songs evolve into something new. That's what eventually became the record we're calling American Love."
