I listen to "Latch" by Disclosure
at least once a week despite the fact that their album, Settle
, is two years old now. It's a solid pick for one of my top five songs of the decade so far. And every other track on the album is nearly as solid: "White Noise," "F For You," "When A Fire Starts To Burn." These house/techno peddling brothers shot to instant stardom on the back of that album, and as we often are here at Baeble, we were ahead of the curve at knowing the greatness the Lawrence brothers were destined for.
With help from Hype Machine and the Hype Hotel, we put together a concert with Disclosure at SXSW in 2013. It's impossible to watch this session and not want to dance all over your home/office/the streets. We're ready for any word of Disclosure working on a sophomore effort because if it can match the greatness of Settle
and their classic live energy, they'll have another smash record on their hands. But, until then, watch our Hype Hotel session and fall back in love.
