Let Chief Ghoul Haunt You

"In the darkest of your days, I'll be the one to tie your noose/Just to watch you swing and sway..." says Lee Miles a.k.a. Chief Ghoul on "Done Dabbled," off of his upcoming III LP. It's a dark message, but delightfully menacing and supremely evocative. I picture Bob Dylan strolling the backwoods of the Mississippi Delta on October 31st, knocking on cabin doors and returning greetings with an empty stare and a solemn song.

For a 13 track LP consisting solely of vocals and guitar, III remains surprisingly captivating throughout. Chief Ghoul is a talented guitarist and songwriter, experimenting with elements of alt-country, blues and folk to darkly wonderful effect. His distorted acoustic guitar tone paired with his wistful, vengeful storytelling makes for an emotional, active listening experience. And that's no accident; "The recording process as well as part of the writing process for these 13 songs took place at a fairly trying time in my life, and I think it only helped to add emotion to each track," explains Miles. "This will be my third release and Im extremely proud of it."

We here at Baeble are proud to debut the exclusive stream of Chief Ghoul's III LP before it drops 4/28. Enjoy, and keep an eye out for Chief Ghoul in a city near you.
