Portugal, The Man Release First-Ever Endangered Song, 'Sumatran Tiger'

    Portugal. The Man partnered with the Smithsonian Institute to create one of the most interesting awareness campaigns we've ever encountered. In an effort to save the endangered species the Sumatran Tiger, the group is releasing the first ever endangered song. There are only 400 Sumatran Tigers remaining in the wild, and to raise awareness of this, the group will unleash 400 lathe-cut polycarbonate singles that will deteriorate over time, literally putting it at risk of going extinct. Their goal is to have the 400 "influential" recipients share the single digitally, in order to keep the song alive. Watch the promo video below.
