In following last weekend's Record Store Day trend, Yeasayer released their two-track, limited edition 7", End Blood. Not coincidentally titled, the songs were written for, but not included on, their 2010 full-length, Odd Blood.

The tracks, "Phoenix Wind" and "Swallowing the Decibels", lack the ecstatic tones and tribal textures of their intended Odd Blood, which may justify their disregard. They are, however, unique in their own right, especially "Swallowing the Decibels", where Chris Keating harmonizes with droning, industrial synth. Fortunately, Yeasayer had a hoarder's sensibility (songs not cats) to hang onto these two for a rainy day release.

The two tracks will be released digitally on May 3. Until then, check out our exclusive concert video of Yeasayer live at Music Hall of Williamsburg, and listen to both cuts below via some ambitious Youtubers.
